Bremont Watch Company is pleased to announce the release of its new BC-SOLO ('SOLO’) wrist watch. Designed as a classic pilots watch, the SOLO is an obvious choice for those wanting to enter the world of Bremont automatic chronometers. The watch will come in two different dial variants and legibility played a significant role in its design.
No pilot ever forgets their first solo flight and the exhilaration as the wheels leave the runway. This feeling was undoubtedly an inspiration behind the SOLO and with it the ability to leave a long lasting impression on its wearer.
The SOLO becomes the entry price point piece in the Bremont collection at £2550 and there can be no denying that the watch represents incredible value for money when one looks at its technical specifications.
The SOLO is housed in the classic Bremont 43mm Trip-Tick three-piece case and is powered by the modified BE-36AE movement. As with all Bremont watches each SOLO watch case will be hardened in the UK to over 2000 Vickers making the case over six times more scratch resistant than normal watch grade steel. The watch is water resistant to 100m (10ATM), and the domed sapphire crystal has nine layers of hardened anti-reflective coating to each side. The SOLO also has an exhibition case back.
Giles English - “Both Nick and I have always loved the classic pilot watches of the 40’s and we felt that in our range there was room for a beautifully simple and very traditionally styled pilots watch. We have used applied indexes to give more texture to the dial and have two options of black dials with both white and cream numerals.”
The BC-SOLO is due for release in July 2011
